The poem had a hand in it.
What the hand stood for held or released.
Worlds basically.
Not in so many words which is why.
It must have been two poems.
The other with fingers and mostly a thumb.
The thumb I remember because.
Just where it struck.
In so many words.
A world in the hand a hand in the world.
A trigger in both which is how.
Jeffrey Thompson is an attorney and writer living in Phoenix, Arizona. His hobbies include reading, hiking, photography, and waiting for that asteroid we were promised.
