E. G. Cunningham
—
sometimes an overcast day
produces brightest colors
your gender norms are a noose
the Ohio bridge still holds
the soul may be a thing
it’s certainly capable of haunting
the body is not a prize to be won
I like your heart, its sound and space
time music with no requirements
for entry in whatever contours
of the multiverse
at best we clutch a red thread thesis
love is both solvent and solution
substrate of experience
all animals are intelligent
capable of profound communication
of stitching and breaking
we need both
