Floral Pattern

Pattern of pink
flowers on the hem

of the dress my
daughter slept in—

a patter of pink
petals below

brother’s hand-
me-down hoodie—

her light hair
hooded in darkness,

her floral hymn
a dream of autumn rain

outright is singing.
