WAKULLA COUNTY, FLORIDA
To think that someone went
through all the trouble
to name every single goddamn creek
in this county,
even the littlest ones,
hidden under highway bridges
or at the ends of limerock roads,
that shrink every summer
into nothing more than mud puddles
full of tadpoles.
Eddie Krzeminski received his MFA from Florida International University. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Grist, Split Lip, Saw Palm, Small Orange, and elsewhere. He teaches writing classes in Southwest Florida.
