Hailey Sybl Slaughter’s is a Kansas City-based artist currently majoring in Sculpture and Art History at the Kansas City Art Institute. Sybl’s work is rooted in the tenderness of empathy, which explores and goes beyond the human experience. A multidisciplinary artist, Sybl’s work celebrates the inherent beauty and life present in nature, while also investigating their position in the cycle of life and nature. This understanding branches into the lives and experiences of animals and other individuals, while also exploring her personal position as a queer woman within the crossroads of these experiences. Her work investigates the impact we have on the world as well as each other, inviting understanding and care.​
